When deciding the name of the film we looked at what our film was
about and thought that because the person is called Greg Dead Silence we
decided to make it stick. We used his name as the title. Also the fact of the
word 'silence' is because before the teenagers came and found the book, the
book was left alone and it was silent. This is where we got our idea from. We
wanted to use two very negative words to make it sound like a bad thing. Also
we done a mind map, we put different words down and what they suggested in a
horror film, at first we just chose silence, but there are already films with
names like that so we added the dead to emphasis the murders what would happen
in the film.
When I finished
mind mapping words, I highlighted the ones what caught my attention,
these were "Death" and "Silent". We then played around and
made a film name of "Dead Silence".
